RCON / Admin Commands

I'm going to be setting up a LAN game tonight with my machine as the
server (NOT dedicated).

Any ideas on how I can enable the admin commands (kick, ban, map
change), as the last time I tried this I couldn't change the map manually
nor could I kick a ph00l who was messing around

Do I need to alter any configs or run any 3rd party software?

If you're playing on the server then you should be able to use the standard server admin commands, such as:

changelevel
mp_timelimit
mp_roundtime
mp_friendlyfire
mp_gravity
kick
banid
sv_restart
mp_autoteambalance

If that doesn't work then you'd need to set up rcon, which is easy peasy

(I can give a quick 'struction on that if you want). But admin mod is best left alone unless you're planning on setting up a server frequently or want other people to have less than 100% control of the server.

But if you're sitting at the machine that's the server then all you should need to do is remember a few commands

(The list above are the main ones)

I assume it'd be something like:

changelevel cs_assault
kick [wonid]/[username]

Is that about right? :rolleyes:

Yup for the changelevel one, but for kick its either the playername or the sessionID - the number that isn't the wonid when you type status

Having said that, I'm not 100% sure that it won't work with wonids

kick usernumber IIRC. Do users to get this list and it's the number at the start of the line for a player. For example:
