i have the same spec too alex, but never had a problem yet, touch wood ( i touch my head).

Thanks lads, seems to be fine now, cheers especially to you Mach for the link to that forum. If anyone's interested then this is what i had to do:

System:
Win2k SP2

Asus A7V KT133 - update bios to 1009
Install VIA 4 in 1 Drivers 2.35
Install latest directx (8.0a)
install latest Nvidia drivers for TNT2 Ultra (21.83)
Install latest Soundblaster live drivers from Creative & reduce hardware acceleation of sound by 1 notch (from maximum)
Modify registry as apparently AMD chipset and AGP IRQ sharing and memory managment with Nvidia based cards is a problem.

So, bit of a task really.

I am running win2k and i just upgraded to the same motherboard too

I couldnt load gamespy without the whole system crashing and some web sites crashed the system too :rolleyes:

and that's what was really cocking it up! It's usually little things like that.
