Just popped over to OCUK and noticed they have some which you agree to by playing on there server, do you think it would be a good idea if we set out some ground rules regarding swearing/banning etc??. Just so that we are all consistent in our actions

Depends on who uses them?

wil the rules be for ANY player on our server?

as for swearing, excessive - not allowed but the occasional curse should be.

the rules should be mainly for cheating peeps!

I dont thing drawing up (and writing down ) a set of rules is necessary to be honest. I say lets just see what happens, but for now kick trouble makers, temporarily ban repeat offenders.

On the swearing front, I personally think it's fine to allow all swearing, so long as we kick peeps who excessively use it offensively. If we kick anyone who spouts out the odd F word, (a) we'd be getting rid of half of -=DVF=- and (b) we'd be doing a lot of kicking!

I think commercial advertising, recruiting and spamming talk binds should be strictly dealt with

A lot of places say "please speak English only". I think it's alright to allow the odd foreign word, but ask people to speak English if possible, and not hold long conversations in another language

Recruiting then? How should we deal with that issue. Bound to get a load of people asking/mithering about joining. I reckon we should just give em the http://www.thedvdforums.com site, and let em figure out the rest. If we gave em the dvf.org site, I think the forums could be getting filled up with crap and spam before we knew it.
Oh and no text spamming for other sites, clans, or people without clans looking for a one to join.
