Tell me more. I have a couple of spare pcs at home and my laptop. How can I get my ADSL modem (USB) to work on one, share cs across 2 pcs etc. What version of Linux are you using. I am willing to give it a try. Ill do a ghost image before, and throw it back on if Linux is a bit difficult to use.
So, fresh install onto an older machine. Pentium 266. 100 meg network to big pc with ADSL connection. Any recomendations?

If you aren't familiar with Linux then try or with Windows. FWIW Winroute 4.1 lite (3 user) was on the September 2001 PC Plus coverdisc.

Sorry.. Tell you what, I'll get linux up and running on ,my spare pc first, then come back to you in a couple of weeks when Ive figured it out a bit, ok?

TBH Linux causes headaches (quite literally - I have only an old monitor with poor unstable refresh rate for the linux box). Winroute has been used and recommended by Forum members in the Computing and Console Forum and I was using Wingate before I got the linux box up and running. Much easier to use but the number of clients which can connect is limited by the licence.
