I'm surprised some of us don't have Automatic Updates setup or a Firewall. Either would save you from this latest bug

Agreed - you are mad if you don't have a firewall. I have a random IP each time I log on, yet I still get trojan attempts most times I'm on-line. And not necessarily playing CS either.

You can get away without auto-update if you subscribe to a security newsletter. But this particular one has been about since end of July and has been mentioned in most dispatches, as it is v.critical.
