Has a good price guide. I would recommend an oyster card as they are much better than the other tickets... Oh sorry just seen you want to go to Epsom... |

Yep thanks for all your help - there are a few online, including Oystercard, that give very good information on pricing within the LUG zones, but outside that (and Epsom is only just outside really) there's nowt. OK well when I get a chance I'll phone them up later on. Thanks again! |

Best bet is to phone them. I usualy get a 1 month season from Carshalton to Epsom and it is around £50.05. The ticket shows it as a 5% discount. I can use it any time of day any day of week within the month it is valid for. Normal peaktime fare is about 4.80 for me. I think yours might be a little more but not much more as you'll come in on the Waterloo mainline. Check out the Zones (I think Epsom is Zone 6). HTH BTW: Oyster is not supported at Epsom station (yet - might be in the future) |

Well I've been playing around with ticket options but can't find anything that seems like good value. Not surprising really I suppose, but they seem to go out of their way to make things difficult. Ideally I'd get an annual for anywhere from Zone 1 to Epsom - but Epsom's just outside the Oystercard area and so I can't. Instead I'd have to get a Vauxhall - Epsom South West trains which means I pay £121/month just to travel to work and can't even go into Zone 1 without paying extra. This really annoys me. Has anyone else had to do something similar? It even occurred to me to get an annual Zone 1 to get into the station and then a Ewell - Epsom annual to get out... but then this IS illegal Ideas appreciated. |

I used to work in Epsom. I just spoke to rail enquiries and they told me that they depart every few minutes between Clapham Junction and Epsom EG Leaving Clapham 08.26 arriving at Epsom 08.46 Weekly Price: £29.40 Monthly Price: £112.90 An annual would probably work out around £1130 (works out at 94 per month) If you're unhappy with these prices thank you lucky stars you aint paying £24.00 + £4.00 parking per DAY for your travel into work like some people. |
