Managed to get a copy of Threads (the 1984 BBC film) a few weeks ago and finally got around to watching it. Anyone else seen it and care to comment? Possibly the most depressing hour and a half of apocalyptic drama I've ever seen... but strangely compelling at the same time. Made me have nightmares I have to say. Thank goodness I didn't watch it on it's original broadcast date (I was only 10!) during the height of Cold War paranoia!

I found it very very boring at the time, the only good bit was the scene where the bird with the big tits gives that guy who looked just like me a soapy t*t w*nk.

I think I may have fallen asleep through the rest of it though.

You wanna try watching it in double RE after a particularly heavy lunchtime session, me and my mates were bricking it. Excellent film, there's a thread's thread around here somewhere aswell,

NB. It's also worth a fair bit in original DVD incarnation as it's well tricky to get hold of, may take you up on your kind offer

Was horrified at the 'hide under the table' advice of the Govt. which really was to prevent spread of disease from the dead and the Radioactive sheep chow-down.

This was one of the main reasons I'd never trust Nuclear power, per G@v's thread (I realise it ain't quite the same thing)

Took me about 3 weeks to get hold of a copy of this from a few slow torrents I had. Hasnt aged too well, but I also watched it at school,and it scared the shit out of me.

Not sure what format the version I have is in (will check when I get home) but it fits on one cd and is pretty decent quality. Feel free to PM if you need a copy (dunno if need is the right word here though!).
