Well, went to watch it lastnight, hmmm. Effects: 
Acting:
Sound:
Plot:
Fantastic effects and sound, it keeps you very gripped in the middle, but I hate to say it ends VERY quickly, its not as good as ID4. Cruise does a great job, his daughter is a little annoying at times. Go and watch it, its good for the cinema experience...... BUT: King Kong looks ACE!!!!!! Dukes of Hazzard looks pretty good too, along with F4. |

I thought the plot was more like especially the sub plot with the family troubles. I mean what the hell was that all about? Ever heard of developing characters? Both kids should have been first in line to be mutilated by the aliens they were so annoying.

Personally I thought Dakota Fanning (the daughter) stole the show from Tom in every scene they were in and there wasn't enough special effects for me, the scene where the army is shooting at something (you don't see what till the end of that scene) is ridiculous, you see nothing happen but the next thing all the vehicles are rolling down the hill on fire. Poor and as already mentioned not a patch on ID4 |
