Some of you guys seem pretty clued up when it comes to multimedia, so I thought I'd pick your brains. I need some nice, cheap(ish) speakers for my PC to replace the crapola bargain basement ones that came free with it. They don't need to be 5.1 or anything fancy, just perhaps 2 desk-standing with a subwoofer for around £50 or less. HOWEVER - I do need to be able to plug in a mic and headset for occasional Skype chat, and it would obviously be handy if these speakers had accessible desktop ports for the headset. Oh and suggestions for a good headset too would be handy! Any thoughts appreciated, Sumo |

I use a set of creative 7.1 surround which sound nice, cost me £80 but they come with a remote which has the mic in and headphone sockets. try looking for some creative 2.1 with remote. Something like these. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI ... tID=284194 |

Err... too late, just ordered it... but it looks OK :-) As a sidenote, I ordered it from dabs.com, because the site you directed me too wanted a land line number for registration, and I don't have one. I wonder how many ££ they're missing out on for what what is basically an administrative error? Landlines are dying out! Get with the times, man :-) |
