Hmm - much strangeness. After altering the profile for my ADSL DUN entry many times I deleted it and recreated it. Et Voila! None of the details I entered changed so I can only assume a software glitch (or BT corrected a fault while I was entering the DUN details).
So there we are kiddots. If you have ADSL and start getting 691's delete the DUN entry in the speedtouch software and build a new profile with the info you get from your ISP. It might just work.
