i've played against the Wozzy king, and i have to say that you did improve when you wern't an engineer. I change what i play as depending on what team i'm on and what the objectives are. Gold rush i play as a soldier on either team with a pansfaust (sp?) But if any of you are having problems check out the and click on my sig for the main ET website

Some tips on ET...hopefully not to patronise anyone.

The Beach Map.
Seems impossible for the Allies, but there is a back door. If you can get a covert in an enemy uniform you can open this door and let engineers into the gun turret. Only coverts in uniform can open this door - don't bother with dynamite or anything. Note that you can change your spwn point out of the direct line of fire with the L menu. Once the command post is built you can spawn in that bunker.
For the Axis - NEVER go on the beach and NEVER go out the back door! It is imperative that the allies don't get their hands on your uniform. Also - get loads of Field Ops and pound the beach with indirect fire.

Gold Rush
Axis - there are two main bottle necks for the Allies - protect the tank as long as you can. and once the tank has been stolen and reached the courtyard, get AT LEAST one medic, one Field Ops and one machine gunner into the bank itself. 3 people can hold that bank against about as many Allies as care to attack, but you haqve to stay focussed and insuide. I've held the bank like this for 15 minutes.
Allies - focus on stealing the tank and keeping it moving - there is NO point destroying obstacles until the tank has been taken.

Desert
Allies - get the old city as soon as possible - you can permenantly get this spawn point if you blow the old city wall, so that should be the main focus at the start of the map.

Fuel Dump
Allies - you can sometimes (although not often nowadays) get through the tunnel once the tunnel grate has been blown. If you can manage to get through with an eng and a covert in uniform, you can walk right into the fuel dump and blow it without using the tank. I've seen this map won in literally 3 minutes with this method.
It rarely works now as the axis are wise to it and will normally send a single eng back to the dump to plant mines and construct the defenses.

Train
This is the only map where the Axis are on the attaqck. If you are allies and you get the trian, dump it in the gap between the walls, this makes it hard for the axis to get out of their spawn point and you can pound them with indirect fire. Also, mine the track switch like mad, and replenish the mines when used.
