okay small update again... got everything up and running drivers etc etc and all xp critical updates too. installed 3DMark03 but when i try to launch it I get the '3d mark has encountered a problem and needs to close' with the option of sending the error report. When the report comes back it says to remedy this download the latest critical updates but there are none left to download!!! Erm help again?!... Karl |

Try a fresh install of 3d mark from somewhere. I remember on 2001 there was a dodgy file which meant you HAD to upgrade it. I would find somewhere else to grab it from. |

Have you reinstalled your OS? I know that Windows doesn't particularly like having a new CPU and Motherboard without a rebuild. |

The only way to fix this is to schooch your bare feet on the carpet, rubbing a ballon on your chest, whilst wearing natural wool clothing. Then you must rub your fingers down the CPU and Ram chip connectors ensuring that you do not touch anything grounded first. That'll do it. |
