This is one of the best games I have ever played ... I am loving every minute of it. At Site 3 right now and am missing being away from it because of work.

I love the use of darkness to create tension and the fact I have stopped playing a few times whilst playing at 2AM in the dark, due to being fed up of turning around all the time ensuring no-one is standing behind my computer chair.

Heh well thats it, I'll drop down to one meal a day for a couple of weeks and buy Doom III

Had a good playtest on the game lastnight.

OH my god, im scared!

The atmosphere is great, im scared, everywhere I turn I think summats going to pop out of the shadows, or drop down from the celing :shivers:. , got to the section where you have to meet the marines in Alpha wing, I love the bit where the little robot century thing starts kickin ass, ive just got past that, but got killed by 2 evil flame throwing demon things....
I seem to run out of ammo and the WRONG time lol.

Cant wait to play when I get home.


ALSO: would the duct tape mod ruin the game? I get annoyed swapping from flashlight to weapon all the time.

Yes it would, the whole point about the game is the designers spent time working out WHEN you need to have low light. Personally, I felt the strategic swapping of torch to gun added tons to the game and heightened my enjoyment. Running about with a torch all the time equals having the base lights on full ... what's the point? This game lives by it's atmosphere, why ruin it?

When I start playing it again tonight, I will probably add the duct tape, but that is because I know what is coming and where. Then again I will probably play it again without so I get the full effect again.

I would not add ANYTHING mod-wise to the game until you have completed it at least once.
