Having yet to play either game i really cant say, but id predict that ai wise far cry willl be better as far as tactics and enviromental interacion and such go, but for pure fire fight/survival horror Doom3 will be in the lead, if it isnt i cant see it competeing with far cry and half life 2. |

Well to say that the game has good graphics and is scary is somewhat of a mammoth understatement on my behalf. It certainly is a great leap forward in lighting for an fps. It's more like being in a horror flick than playing a game to be honest the atmosphere really is that good. I've heard people complaining about the game being too dark but that's really what this game is all about in all fairness. I've only played it for about an hour or so but in that time I've jumped at least half a dozen times and have found myself being so cautious it's quite discerning. Hats off to the boys at id - they really have made a winner. Now all that remains is whether the game is actually long enough, and if it is, do I have enough of my baby's nappies at hand to keep me from totally soiling my computer room?! |

Cheers for the advice guys, ill leave DX9(c) on for the time being...it cant be that. And yes sub, its a format to remove it/or a system restore, your right. Ill update the drivers tonight, see if it cures it. |

was tempted to buy this last night, but once source get's here and with my recently purchasing medievel total war i don't think i'd actually play on it. |
