Just been reading a great thread over on the Steampowered.com forums.




NB: The thread contains spoilers.

TBH I dont care if you all moan about the ending, its an ending, all things have to come to an end.

Therefore: THE WHOLE GAME EXPERIENCE SHOULD NOT BE JUDGED BY THIS. If its following on to a 3rd title then great. TBH if I stopped playing the game at my current position (Entanglement) Id still be happy. (Although I do want to finish the damn thing).

So Instead of walking away saying to yourself, "shit ending man, I could of wrote that better", think of the underlying fact that you have completed yet another part in the HL Saga.

My advice, awaight HL3, it may even start off in EXACTLY the same position.

Im sure that its all been done for a reason, Valve must have some sort of plan, imagine the amount of Tests etc this game and its story got before its realease (due to the renown that HL1 received the pressure of generating an equivently gripping story must have been immense).

it's not so much the ending itself... it's WHERE it ends... it just leaves you feeling a little bit like "oh"

that's the only way i can explain it.
