I beg to differ.... if you want an MMORG, Eq2 is the best one out there by a mile. For starters blizzard have NO prior MMORG experience and it would appear the WoW servers are full of annoying kiddies.

Everquest two requires over 50 days (24hrs by 50) to get to the top (or competing at least) WOW takes around 10 and you can play as you wish, without waiting for a group. Thats why I prefer it - EQ2 is too hardcore

I played KOTOR2 for about 4 hours on Satuday.

Looks like the original game, plays like the original game.
I loved the original (apart from the comments above re: lack of dark/light-side differences), so I'm enjoying it.

Playing as light-side at the moment - early on you get in a conversation about the past (i.e. the events of KOTOR), so I'm guessing this is a (rather clumsy) way of configuring the game depending on how you finished the first one (if you choose to answer).

So far, I have noticed a couple of places where you can choose quite 'dark' responses and options but I don't know if these will actually change much.

I haven't detected any change in the graphics, and the gameplay is identical, although perhaps a little 'slicker'.

I like it so far, but it's not for everyone - a friend of mine who played half the first game thinks it's completely useless.

So, based on 4 hours, I'd say:
If you liked the first one - the story, the RPG elements, the feeling of being in a Star Wars movie, then its probably worth a look.
If you're expecting amazing graphics and a completely revamped game and interface then look elsewhere.

Yes, Winter - feels exactly like the first. Seems well plotted and is certainly immersive (I stayed till half one last night playing the fecking thing, not good if you have a 9am start ) but it come across as more of the same.

Interesting comments about WoW Gav. Even that sounds too hardcore for me since my problem with MMORPGs is the Time Invested vs Enjoyment Gained ratio. Any one I've ever played feels too much like chore, a lot of wandering around and doing fairly boring things just to get some XP to feel a little less inadequate amongst the other people online who seem to have a lot more time on their hands than I do. At least with standard RPGs there tends to be a narrative that drives you forward in amongst the wandering around bits. Maybe I'm just not cut out for the MMO experience
