I wll try and find some links later but I bought the new xbox world magazine yesterday and it had a demo of Brothers in Arms on it - and when I say demo, you actually saw one of the designers playing the game and talking about it on xbox and it is INCREDIBLE! I had watched the demo for Call of Duty just previously and it made that look like it should be consigned to the bargain bin!
It is a mix of Hidden and Dangerous, Medal of honour and maybe Halo and the graphics look sensational (video was slightly blurry but grass looked amazing and the scenery) really it was possibly the best demo I have ever seen for a game. You are part of a 12 man team featuring real soldiers from the 2nd WW and taking part in real missions in real environments (TOTALLY accurately mapped out) in Normandy etc and the AI looks stunning - your teammates do things themselves, hide behind objects, make breaks for a better vantage point etc etc as do the enemy - it is all about flanking the opposition and them tryin to flank you. It was amazing to just sit back and watch the men in action, you can tell them where to go and who to target etc but they are SO intelligent, they got some military expert/historian in to advise them on tactics, squad movements etc etc and it all looks to have paid off, it looks like the perfect WW game that I have been waiting for - facial animations - eyes etc are also very very good as was voice acting, really if you get a chance I would try and look it up if you own xbox or pc as it looks stunning. The first game that I have seen that actually looked and sounded like an authentic experience of warfare, I hope it is as good as it looks at the moment!
oh and Jade Empire gets better every time I see it!
