Well things seem a bit quiet on the console forum so I thought I would put my xbox cap on and I havent really posted anything about Jade Empire, which alongside Brothers in Arms and Oddworld: Stranger, looks one of the best (and most likely THE best) game out in 2005.

It is made by Bioware, they of KOTOR, Baldurs Gate fame - one of the most consistently excellent developers around and this is the game they have wanted to make for years but havent been able to due to waiting for technology to catch up and getting other commitments out of the way. It is a real time fighting rpg, set in a sort of mythical Japanese sort of world with it's own legends and has what looks to be sumptuous graphics, an excellent and very varied combat system, great cutscenes and hopefully a great plot like KOTOR.

The game won loads of awards at last years E3 show and so far people who have played the game in December 2004 or in the last few days have said it beats all expectations! I am not entirely sure when it is due out, tho I think it is Spring!!!!!

At E3 it won Best Game Critics Award for:

Best Roleplaying Game
Best Console Game
Best Original Game

it also won a host of awards for the E3 show from sites such as ign etc etc etc but 3 awards from the Critics is no mean feat

I'm interested in what Gunslinger has to say most of the time. I am very interested in Jade Empire because it is written by Bioware, who are my all time favourite software house.
