PS2 - Athens 2004

Xbox - Colin Mcrae 2005, Tiger Woods 2005.

Athens 2004.

Simple game play, Good Clean Graphics and sound, 1 player is ok, BUT the main part of the game (and why I got it) is due to the option for 2 - 4 player using dance mats, it is sooo funny!!! (it will get you fit), great for a night in with some beer and friends.

imho,

Halo - best console FPS ever (sorry Goldeneye fans but this frankly pees all over it and wanders off chuckling). Playing it on legendary shows how good the AI really is- it makes for a really tough challenge.
Project Gotham 2 - best arcade driving game ever (PGR1 is probably cheap by now and excellent too)
Knights of the Old Republic - great storyline and pretty good 3rd person RPG set many years before Star Wars films start. Really captures the feel of the movies.
Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance -another RPG. Isometric views so not that pretty but good fun, particularly in 2 player co-op (think Gauntlet with stats). Less detailed than the PC BG series but still a decent game.
Tiger Woods 2003/4/5 - great fun single and multiplayer - a bit arcady but still my favourite golf game.Loads of depth to keep the single player mode interesting.

Splinter Cell games
Topspin Tennis (surprisingly good)
Amped Snowboarding (1 & 2) (ditto)
Dead or Alive 3 - if you like fighting games this is great with mates but single player is a bit shallow.
Timesplitters 2 - fun FPS with fantastic extra 'party' style games/arcade missions.

ISS Pro Evo 4
(all "must buys" for me)


Dont know how noisy the Xbox is compared with PS2 but its a very good quality DVD player in its own right (be aware you need to buy the DVD playback remote control to play DVDs though).
