Well....what a great game
GAME MODES
All the usual tennis stuff is there, like singles, doubles, ladies, mens (no mixed doubles though), you have the ability to create a player, which is cool!
You can have play in career mode, which takes you though all training, pro-ams, pro tournaments, you can get a sponsor from addidas, reebok etc, which inturn will give you cool clothes to wear. The overall idea for the career mode is to become no.1 (obvious), you start an 100th (im currenty 23rd), and ive completed all the pro-ams (which are pretty easy).
The other types are exhibition and custom tounament.
CONTROLS
The controls are really easy to master, you have the option to play slice (x), top spin (B), Standard shot (A), and Lob (Y), the left and right triggers are for hard to play shots like a fast serve, drop shot, or a risk shot, they all work on a bar that moves up and down. All work independantly with the d-pad or control stick (depends what you want to use) to apply direction to the ball.
GRAPHICS
The graphics are superb, they arent over done, and there are some nice little touches, like when you play on a clay court, you tend to slide for shots, upon doing this you leave slide marks the clay.
SOUND
The sounds are ok, nothing special, peoples voices and accents change depending what continent you are in.
PLAYABILITY
Once you have played a few matches you get the hang of things.
The single player career mode keeps you entertained for hours, each game is different, putting you up against a whole catalogue of players with different abilities.
The doubles matches are a great laugh, me and the mussis played it for 5 hours on sunday
Oh and did I mention its Live enabled
