well... I took my first step into the world of maps and stuff today. Fired up hammer and read a bit of the docs etc... I pick stuff up pretty quick, but I'm a total noob to this stuff... although confused at first I have just managed to put together a basic room (that looks horrible and has gaps everywhere), and get a skybox working. All with just 3 hours from first starting up the sdk.

Sadly my map involves the shooting of pigeons... that er... won't fly away.

Horrible... but it's a start.

Okay... been fiddling with hammer for a while now, having lots of fun... started on a map a while ago, but decided against it for the time being... started a new one this morning based around a shopping location. First thing I started on was the Che-bar (ho ho ho) I was going to make it the beadles arms... and replace the che decals with beadle ones... but having trouble creating new decals... hmmm looking into it tho... here are a few piccys of my last few hours work on the pub part of the map.

You make me want to download Hammer and start playing around with it

i really wouldnt know where to start with making maps. urs looks pretty good tho.well done :thumbs: :clap: :thumbs:
