I was in Delhi in July. You *will* get sick so take lots of rehydration salts with you. Otherwise you can buy them there for about 12-15 rupees each. Bottled water is ok to drink, although check the cap is sealed and that there are no holes in the bottom of the bottle where it may have been refiled....

I highly recommend the old style single blade safety razors. I used to hate shaving because I always got razor burn on the neck when using the modern cartridge style razors. The problem completely disappeared when I switched to a safety razor (Merkur Futur) and another plus is that the replacement b...

I have some experience designing relational databases and the best tip I can pass on is: - Don't use encoded primary keys To explain, each table in a relational database must have a primary key in order to uniquely identify a record in the table. A common mistake is to make an apparently "uniqu...

BF2 Reality Mod

Check out the Battlefield 2 Reality Mod at http://www.realitymod.com if you want a more realistic/less arcade-like version of BF2. I've been playing it for about a week and it's damn good fun - and a lot more difficult than vanilla BF2.

Left my job 9 months ago to form a company with my former boss and 3 other colleagues. I've been living off my savings that I was going to spend on a year long round the world trip - but decided to risk it with a wunch of bankers instead (actually they're quite a nice bunch of guys once you get past...

I lived in Switzerland for a year and I believe that all Swiss males between 18 and 55 have to do a week or so of military service every year. They are issued with assualt rifles which they keep at home (not sure about ammo though) and they have to attend compulsary target practice every so often. I...

Sounds risky... 6k profit on 16.5k invested over a year is way above the odds. The fact thay they charge you £300 a month for managing your investment means that they win whether you make money or not. They must be gearing up your investment significantly and I suspect you'll find a warning that you...

Was only ever in Montreux for a day. Went for a trip across the lake to Evian (the bottled water place) - it was pants, don't bother. Swiss beer is pretty bad (avoid Cardinal at all costs) and spirits are very expensive so stock up at duty free. I used to think Switzerland was expensive, until I liv...

I assume you're on a 30 day trial for a service that provides analysis/tips/advice for £300 a month? Sounds something like 4Cast (http://www.4castweb.com) to me. How much would you have to have "staked" to make £1000 though? And what would your downside have been if the market had gone the...

Unfortunately Cheap and Decent are usually mutually exclusive when looking at ISPs. I suggest you visit http://www.adslguide.org.uk and check out the forums for ISPs you are considering.

Why don't you post the ISPs you're considering and see if anyone here can comment on their experiences with them?
