So - we've got some people 'in the know' on here with regards to NTL.
Does anyone know when the Video on Demand service is going to be available in the Bracknell area?
I got a letter about it, but when I pushed the on demand button, my NTL box locked up for about 10 minutes (as usual). Needed a hard reset to get telly back after that.

Cheers secret NTL folks

Dont know about Bracknell Woz, but I'll try and find out the state of play. It was launched in Teesside on 24th and although the content is limited at the moment, mainly BBC with regards to TV there are a fair few old movies on there. Its still early days but I can see that the system has potential.

Cheers!

I tried it again last night but the on demand button (well, to be honest ANY button) on the remote makes the whole system run at a crawl.
I normally control everything through the TiVo because the Pace box is pretty much unusable once you're used to getting a response in under a second from the TiVo remote.

The Pace boxes are crap. Dont know what the situation is regarding the Samsung boxes in your area. I'm using a Samsung box at the moment and am trialling a new one shortly, the speed is much better - as well as the operating temp.

It could very well be that the service is being tested at the moment, on a nodal area basis, and that that could be causing the delays your experiencing. When its live it shouldn't be an issue.
