Financial Spread betting...

Post by Barracuda »

Anyone into this?

Thought I would give it a go, still getting my head round it tbh, on a 30 day free trial that normally costs £300.

But if I would of followed their advice today I would of earned £1k
Double checked the info seperatly making sure it wans't BS, but it seems kosher.

I stay well clear of spread betting, you can lose a lot of cash very very quickly.

I assume you're on a 30 day trial for a service that provides analysis/tips/advice for £300 a month? Sounds something like 4Cast (http://www.4castweb.com) to me.

How much would you have to have "staked" to make £1000 though? And what would your downside have been if the market had gone the other way? What market(s) you looking at trading in? FX?

Its more of stock exchanges etc, spread betting makes it sound like a scam, maybe it is, but It has been proofed.

They recommend you start with a capital of.. wait for it.... 16.5K, with that they got 6k in profit in the two markets they trade in, and they are: Dax30 (german) and the US, S&P500.

So i am gunna try it with a smaller stake obviously LOL 16.5K, jeez

Will see how it goes, thought one of DVF dabbled in the markets.

Sounds risky... 6k profit on 16.5k invested over a year is way above the odds. The fact thay they charge you £300 a month for managing your investment means that they win whether you make money or not.

They must be gearing up your investment significantly and I suspect you'll find a warning that you can lose more money than you've invested ("Your home may be at risk etc."). Check the small print regarding "margin calls" etc.

if it was consistently that easy to make 6K off 16.5K, why are they offering the opportunity to other people at 300 a month, why not cut the middleman out and just mint up themselves

I'd steer well clear.

all it is, is dabbling on the two stock markets.

the 6k is last months profit, they have not said that i will get 6k every month that was just an example.

You can invest as much or little as you want, its up to you.

I will have a go next month after me hols and see what happens.
