I've got both.
The DS is fantastic, innovative and just plain fun.

The PSP sucks ass.

Ooo sexy, any ideas how long?

Only thing thats swaying me away is the fact you can downgrade the PSP f/w and play copy games/movies etc etc.

The mrs wants the DS cus of these bleeding Nintendogs

There's other, cheaper, consoles out there for playing copied games on.
The PSP is pretty expensive if that's all you want it for.

As far as the new DS, I don't know of the release date to be honest.

Its out now in Japan so more than likely it will be out for some time in-between June and August

you can't anymore. I bought mine at Christmas and it had the 2.01 bios which cannot be downgraded. Only option is to buy a second hand one. I have gigs worth of games and can't play them

On another more serious note whats the release date for metroid prime hunters? and i cant find animal crossing anyware and its apparently not out in the uk yet, you guys on imports?

You can them off Ebay - luckily I bought one on 1.52, had to upgrade to 2.0 then down to 1.5. Got over 50 games for it but I just got lost in amongst them all I had so many.

I've just managed to bag a cracked version of GTA which works fine so if you can hold off for a few weeks while I play GTA Worm then I'll get back to you on the sale of mine.

Ironically, I've got GTA on it. It's impressive and I've played it for a while, but it's just not 'fun'.
I think that's it - the PSP is too serious.

By the way - I don't claim to be unbiased - I like Nintendo in general.
I don't have any axe to grind against Sony though, but the PSP is just missing something.
Also - I think the current billboard ads for the PSP are misleading - where they are talking about email on the move etc. There's no way I'd want to type anything of any length using a joystick.

Ive brought both as I could'nt completly make my mind up.

PSP will mainly be used for movies etc.

DS is for the mrs.
