Hi folks,
I've just built myself a spangly new system as a bit of a treat (first full build for 3 years) - and I bought an X1800XT to go with it.
I'm looking for the Crossfire Edition of the X1800XT and can't find it anywhere, knowing my luck it will be discontinued.
Don't suppose anyone can help me out and point me in the right direction of a place I can buy it?
btw, just for geeky bragging rights - heres my new pc :
X6800 Core2 Duo Extreme on ASUS WS PRO something or other.
X1800XT, 2GB Ram at PC6400 4,4,4,12 - 250GB Sata2 x 2 and a stupid case called Kandalf that everytime I look at it, I cringe inside.

Can't you just get a crossfire master any type of card and it'll work?

yeah, but theres a cost :/
Maybe I didn't buy very well.
If I use the 1900XT then it gets cut in half (it uses more pipelines and turns them off to match the 1800XT) and that costs too much for me really.
If I use the 1800 Crossfire, it runs 200 mhz less clock and again, the XT will clock down.. making no advantage over 2x 1800 Pro's I suppose.
I got excited when I saw the post too. Sheesh age has turned me into such a geek!
And why do I want more from F.E.A.R ? I just love this game - 1st one I've bought since coming back from Canada - it's been a long time without a computer.

thats just the vanilla X1800 XT (not Crossfire Master) - but thanks. Although Im not sure you read the post - as this is a x1800XT 256 mb edition, which is everywhere on the web! I'm not that much of a nobber
I've just bought a X1800 Crossfire Master as the XT is discontinued (the buggers) and the x1900 crossfire is 300+ quid... cant justify 600 on graphics.
I'm pleased though that the link wasn't a x1800 XT Crossfire Master, I would have been well annoyed.
Steady 85fps in F.E.A.R at max settings ahoy!!! (getting 42 with vsync with 1 card, so 2 should have me properly drooling)

Now I have the beast set up (9000 3dmark06 - I think I need help!) - I need a decent monitor to go with it - preferably with the highest refresh rate at high resolutions available.
I'm lost in the world of DVI monitors, still using my trusty 21" AOC , but its dying quickly at 1280x960 85hz :/ Even 70hz looks liney now.
Any suggestions oh gurus of displays?
