Wii - sensitivity of the Remote

Post by Woz »

Mine's a little jumpy still.
I've got the bar under the telly, with nothing blocking it, and I'm standing the recommended distance from the screen, but it's still not mouse-smooth.
Am I expecting too much?

The one my mate has has his on top of his telly, seemed plenty smooth to me. Probably take some getting used to though.

the update fixed mine. Either that or the new batteries did, the ones that come with it are rubbish.

Im not sure how "mouse smooth" you can get it though when you are waving it like a wand.

It takes some getting used to, lets put it that way.

Mine's better than it was - turns out that the 'sensor bar' is in fact just a couple of LEDs. The Remote has all the brains in it.
I've got my telly above an open fire, and that really really fucks the Wiimote up. If the fire's off, then it's fine.

Ah right , bugger in cold nights.

Tell me though Wozzie, do you have a rouge reading chair and a green smoking jacket to go with that?

I know, I know - NEVER put a plasma above a heat source.
Thing is, it's the best place in the room - [Laurence Lewellyn-Bowen]you don't want to create two focal points in the room, and the fire has to be one of them [/Laurence Lewellyn-Bowen]

We've checked the temp and the heat doesn't rise to the plasma - to be honest, most of it seems to go up the chimbly. Also, it's gas, so I seriously hope it's not giving off anything noxious that could clag up the plasma in some way, because it will clag up our lungs first.

I'm biting my tounge not wanting to ask who the fook Laurence Lewellyn-Bowen is.

We seem to be developing a man love thing of late and I'd hate to spoil it.

Laurence Lewellyn-Bowen my arse. (I dont even know who he / she is, but I guess he's/she's a poncy twat whos riding the current 80's mentality). Shit that's another thread derailed by my intolerance.

He's the apparent flouncy fool who appeared on Changing Rooms in a floppy shirt and frilly hair, who later turned out to be a well informed designer with a lot of knowledge and skill behind him.

Have you lowered the sensitivity of the remote under Wii Options? Our Christmas tree was playing with ours too much - turned it down one notch - works fine
