Long time and all that gents. I hope all are well.

I've recently purchased CS GO as a mate wants to play some multiplayer games online. I suspect he knows how bad I am after beer (or even before) and wants to get a decent score at my expense. Problem is finding a decent server.

We were spoilt back in the day with the DVF server - well policed and no dodgy shenanigans permitted, as well as a lack of everyone having an AWP.

If anyone is still playing, any server recommendations? Would also be up for a planned game. Luckily I've avoided the marriage scenario, so don't require 6 months notice for it to go through CAB / ECAB ;) (for those sad enough to know their ITIL).

Crikey. I wasn't expecting a reply for weeks considering the activity on here these days.

Sadly Jolt disappeared in 2012 according to Wikipedia. Shame, I forgot how good their servers were. I managed to find a French server that seemed ok today. Well I say ok based on recent outings as I didn't experience:

1) An American theorising Revelations and predicting our fiery doom
2) Every player on both teams taking turns to put holes in me the moment I joined.
3) A distinct lack of audible swearing that sounded like a chipmunk that had been inhaling helium.

Of course they could have been offensive, but my French is so rusty these days I'd never notice. Kidding aside, no raised voices which is always a plus.

Will do, I should be up for that. Problem is learning all the new maps.

That is shocking.

Ill stick CSGO on and patch it up and try to find a good server.

Alternatively Ill just host one.

Good luck!

I think I'm old fashioned. All out 1 on 1 deathmatches, starting without a buy zone and a gun you don't want, as well as the rematches leave me a bit WTF.

I'll get the beers in the fridge, although that has been a Friday fixture for quite some time. :D
