night vision goggles? I know Alex did one a while ago, but to incorporate it into a new map would be wayyyy retro. And make ppl but nv again.

Or i could make it so people were equipped with them when they started so you don't have to buy them as otherwise the first few rounds will be a bit shite!! I would offer to make one but i don't have the nessesary stuff here unless someone wants to e-mail me their fgd and then i'll get started asap

and if you could include the vegas wad, hl wad and the cs wad . Cheers!

ive been wanting to do this for a while.....but couldnt find what to equip ppl with at the start.

Oh I remember now, I don't think you can

Nor can you have them lying on the floor, not least because they don't have a model.

yeah knew they couldnt go on the floor cos of lack of model....

i didnt think u could equip them (mainly cos i tried so much and failed)....and i dloaded an expert 1.6 FGD from a forum which had all the weapons, ammo, equipment....except night vision

btw is there a way of giving money at the start of a round?

have you tried item_nvg?? i'm pretty sure that that is what it is. What s the bind command to bind a key to buy night vision as i'm guessing that it will be the same as that. I've got what i need but will take a while as the pc can't handle 3D graphics so i'll just hope that it looks good lol

Well they're not in the fgd's I use at least, so even if it was possible you'd need to add the option in there first I'm afraid.

the command to buy night vision is nvgs....hence why i tried nvgs, oh and im pretty sure i tried item_nvg aswell.....(i tried about 20 diff things

That's the new 1.6 alias for buying them though, which isn't any use - can you find the actual CS name for them? (There may well not be one). I can't seem to find the list I thought I was looking for

Then you could add that to the fgd and see if it works. Very unlikely though!

i just added it to the player weapon equip, which woks normally as i can equip people with side arms that way. I'm pretty sure that at one point it was nvg but i'm gonna do a search for it and see what i can find as there MUST be a way to do this. Btw i'm gonna need someone to compile the map that i'm making so if anyone would be so kind as to allow me to e-mail it to them when i'm finished to be compiled that would be greatfully recieved. I think for my map there should be an outside where the players start off at and have to enter a building that gradually gets darker as you enter it. And have low level lighting throughout the map so you can just see outlines and pieces like that. Make it spooky.

yeah but jst typing the 1.6 weapons into the equip thing works in quark (no fgd to read from, you can just type away willy nilly)

Jamie i had a look at the link Winter posted in the General forums and thought why not just post a dark map that already exists as it saves a hell of a lot of trouble and found this and thought that from the images that it shows that it would be dark enough for you
