Usb Sound Card *MY FIRST POST*

Lo all, My first post so HELLO :)

I was discussing on server about sound, i am having trouble, Radio commands and grens sometimes lag me, i think cos of sound, would it be worth me getting a USB sound card (I have a laptop) would it help??

I wouldn't think so since the USB sound card would eat into your processor output.

I used to get lag when my sound card was making echo type noises - I fixed it with a command ... that I forget

It something about preprocessing ....

My new sound card drivers and then a whole new soundcard fixed it

what specs the laptop? if its over 2ghz then I dont think you will have a problem

I used to have similar problem with grenade sounds in CS, which occasionally left me in a stuttering sound loop/PC lock up.

This was sorted when I upgraded to Win XP (I had Win 2K before).

It has since only happened twice since then and Windows catches it now and lets me kill hl.exe, rather than freezing my whole PC :thumbs:
