Southern ripple
Added [Sunday August 08 2004 : 12:51:20 PM]
Remnants of Hurricane Alex are now pushing in from the West but it's a ripple effect on the front which will cause the heaviest of the rain to run up the front later this evening.
We're expecting to see the band start to break up in the next hour or two, but later this afternoon the front will burst back into life as it is forced over higher ground in Wales, Cumbria and the Southwest.
The main rain band is not expected to reach the East until tomorrow, by which time it'll be in full 'washout' mode :-)
