Return of the Top 3
Well, it's the end of the year, so it's a good time to list our "best ofs"
Top three films of the year :
1. The Station Agent.
2. Shaun of the Dead.
3. OldBoy
Top three albums of the year :
1. Green Day - American Idiot
2. Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters.
3. Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand
Actually, if I was to include re-releases, number one would have to be Dirk Wears White Sox by Adam Ant.
Top three singles of the year :
1. Beastie Boys - An Open Letter To NYC
2. Green Day - American Idiot
3. Wedding Present - Interstate 5
Best TV :
1. Deadwood
2. TopGear. No better magazine style programme on TV, period.
3. 24 Season 3 (even though it was packed with "Oh, come on! Be real" moments)
Page 3 Girls who are now lesbian born again christian rockers :
1. Sam Fox.
That is all.
Feel free to post yours, but bear in mind they will all be wrong unless they correspond with my choices.

Top 3 annoyances about this forum :
1. You try and balance your posts between serious and wit, but people always want bloody wit. It's just take take take.
2. Some of the arguments don't end up with actual physical threats of violence
3. While the name 'Forum' is evocative of disappointing Playboy publications that turned out to have very few gash shots, this one actually has NO gash shots whatsoever, thus upping the ante somewhat.

No - I don't say them very often, but when I hear them it makes me smile, I guess it because they sound 'odd'.

Is it just me or was this year a particularly bad one for games/ music/ films?! I know pc gamers had Half-life 2 but for myself I cant remember buying much decent stuff this year at all. Pick of the games probably Halo2 tho it wasnt quite as amazing as I'd hoped! (tho I havent played it online) album wise only decent albums I can remember are Monster Magnet's Monolithic Baby, Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, AlterBridge and My Chemical Romance none of which are going to be bona fide classics! and film wise I have seen less films in the cinema than ever - I have still yet to see the Incredibles but about the best movie I saw in the cinema was Spiderman 2 (last year we had X-men 2 and LotR and a few others!)
in fact possibly the highlight of my buying year was LotR: Return of the King extended edition which really is superb and worth 10 out of 10 every day of the week!
Waiting for Pro-evo for xmas and Ninja Gaiden (I think!) and next year 4 potentially amazing games in: Oddworld Stranger (looks ACE!) Brothers in Arms (WOW!) KOTOR 2 and Bioware's Jade Empire (rpg heaven I hope!) .......................... plus possibly Halo3 on xbox 2! (tho maybe not in this country!)
Happy Christmas everyone!!! hope you all have a good night tonight - I cant wait, best night of the year by MILES!
have fun
