Wilbur came round last night and I now do remember watching this two or three times. In fact if I remember rightly one of these occasions I managed to throw myself back into the cinema seat so hard it went CRACK and I found myself staring at the tiled roof. We changed seats shortly afterwards.
Having rewatched Episode 1 I have now remembered the wrist-centric hand motion both Wilbur and I threw at the screen everytime Smarmy Obi-Wan said "You were right about one thing Master, the negotiations certainly were short".

I'll wait for the DVD...to be in the sales.
Spoiler away though, I don't care. I've already looked at that thread on the motherforums and seen a load of pictures.
Apparently Darth Vader wears a natty new black uniform. Can't wait for the big reveal of that.
Oh, and that scots bloke from Trainspotting puts on a stupid accent and talks posh.
This sig gratuitously contains the word 'gratuitously'
It was everything I expected (corny lines included) but there are so many positives to take out of it.
I really really enjoyed it and it certainly makes the loves scenes in the second one more bearable (avoiding spoilers, but it has to be seen).
Id give it a 8 out of 10 , AOTC 7 of 10 / 8ish, Phantom menace 4 .
The last 15 minutes are FAR too graphic for small children to see, I'd seriously say it should be a strict 12 . If you have young children its maybe best to get ready to cover their eyes at key points there.
Oh oh! and another key point is that jar jar binks' only contribution to the entire fim is to say "Excuse me" that gives it a bonus point, dammit make it 9 out of 10.
I still think empire strikes back is my favourite, but its a damn close call.

i thought that was the point. i thought these films were prequals (sp?) to the original trilogy so they'd have to tie into the originals!!
I knew they had to tie in with the originals but a few things for the final trilogy were sorted out in the last 10 mins.
For example,
Obi-wan learning how to come back from the dead as a ghost.
Yoda seeming to give up a bit too easily and going into exhile.
How Luke ended up on tatooine.

Mint film, well impressed, however I have just remembered why I dont go to the cinema as much nowadays. There were that many phones filming bits of the film, kids crying at certain bits, mobiles ringing, and some guy brought a laser pen to entertain us all.
I remember reading somewhere about mobile phone jammers which look like mobile phone masts to mobiles, and they log onto it as the best source of signal. They should have these in every cinema so mobiles wont work.
Can't wait to see this - have to wait for a mate to get back from Ireland, and will be seeing it not this weekend, but the following one - damn, that's a whole 9 days I have to wait!!!
Oh well, at least I'm seeing the band 'A' on Friday to keep me busy.
