Would be very interested to hear what you think of it and if it turns up on time, etc.

Two questions for anyone who knows about these things:

1) Is the option of upgrading from 9800 to a 256 GeForce 6800 G for £105 a good deal (it seems reasonable to me)


2) As I'm looking for a completely new system (monitor,peripherals,etc), does the £999 package offer good value, as compared with the £799 one; or would I be better getting the £799 one and buying the rest of the bits elsewhere (the core of the 2 systems appears identical).

Update on my cheap (£170) 6800 I bought from lowestonweb...

I've just unlocked 4 pipelines and the extra vertex unit using Riva-tuner bringing my 6800 vanilla almost up to GT standards (apart from the DDR).

256-bit NV40 (A1, 16x1,6vp) 128MB DDR

I now have a 6800GT (almost) for £170.... bloody fantastic
