That's a shame.
I do wonder if Nintendo are stealthily building a voip wireless network that could rival the phone providers though. Think about it - the DS can take a mic and headset combo, it's got ample bandwidth and could do worldwide calling for free.

and what is VERY well hidden and never spoken about is that little connector for mic thats next to the headphone slot. I can see a "bluetooth/handsfree" accessory there if ever I saw one.

It needs more public access points though, to get anywhere near "decent" coverage. But I still reckon they could sell it on a USB WiFi connector at least (which, co-incidentally I have just bought, so I can finally play online with my big friend Woz).

I got a good news article from Canada that shows the Canadian take on it - and I have to say, it does have a point:

"We don't mean to get up on a soapbox here or anything, but the same DS WiFi network Nintendo's setting up in Japan in more benign spots like video game shops is still scheduled to hit America (as expected), but will land in a slightly more inauspicious venue: McDonald's. There are a lot of ways to roll out wireless access, but did Nintendo really have to go the one route that not only plays into the fat-gamer-nerd stereotype, but actually actively encourages unhealthy diets in America's youth? Gamers will supposedly be able to compete via WiFi in one of MickeyDee's 6,000 hotspot restaurants; we're as yet unsure of whether there'll be other future wireless venues for the DS in Canada, but let's hope there will be by giving them a resounding lack of support on this one."

yes, the ole fatty gamer stereotype, i dont know about you guys but i think that is a some what dated view on things.
Not to say that i support nintendo making Mcdonalds a provider of wi fi but it is good bussiness sense and there is nothing wrong with people playing a portable console when they/if they eat a McDonalds. The option to buy a wi fi router thingymebob is always available.

Bah - I chucked out a few bottle mails about this little weasel.
He's some sort of beaver I think. Tried to sting me for 3k, but I sussed him. The trouble is that the game goes into a loop and won't let you get out of the conversation with him. So I switched off and took the wrath of what's his name. Next time the beaver showed up I ignored his ass.

I've edited my details on the post above by the way.

It's a shame - I actually had the town open last night at around 2am.

Now why didn't I think of doing that.

Well, it's cheating. But I felt cheated that I figured out it was a con, but wasn't allowed out of the conversation.

take the insurance :) He gives you money every time you get stung by bees and also for falling down holes. Also, when you buy forged paintings from Redd he gives you LOADS. I've easily made my 3k back.

I've got loads more "hints" but some are spolier esque - there are a lot of secrets in this game, I like that.

anyone going to be open tonight? I can get to the internet cafe for around 2am ish :/

heres some then - SPOILERS IN HERE
1. You can make trees always grow and bear fruit with 100% success. To do this, you need to chop down a native tree , use the shovel to get rid of the stump and plant the fruit in the hole that has been created.

2. lost and found at the town gates are worth a look (lots forget this).

3. Shooting stars result in presents in the mail
Stars are preceeded by a twinkle sound effect, as soon as you hear this, quickly press A (maybe B , will check) - and your player will kind of pray. The next day you will get a present through the mail from Wishy Star. .
On Mario Kart - have you guys added me as friend? its still showing that you haven't on my side

probably not worth it, and then you can't shop at my Nookways, I think I need you to shop there before he will expand again (if he does expand again) - as I have easily spent 100,000 bells there.

Yup - you need me (or someone) to shop there.
Nookington's - that's what you're after.
I'll post here if I'm still awake at 1am.

OK - I'm awake. Are you about?
