The lack of FF on the one I played on (the office one) put me off.
It's a different style of play, but I can't get the hang of crowds of people charging in a mass while all firing their guns in one direction!

I'll warn you now then that almost all of teessides servers have ff turned off.
I like them because of that. It allows me just to turn off and rush without having to worry about my co-players, something which you just can't do on most clan servers.

Yeah, no FF doesn't work for me.
I'm back to the Pub server, but I do wish we had our own again.
It seems to me like IOA, CRO and DVF between us have about enough regulars to fill a reasonable sized server...

Well our beta CS:S server is pretty much full all the time now in th evenings - have you popped in yet?
It's actually not bad, the gun price differences don't make that much difference to the game (yet anyway)

anyone been on CRO's counterstrike deathmatch server yet, right laugh. Well intense, might not be to everybody's taste but I love it. When you are T's trying to plant the bomb it is like playing american football moving the bomb about 10 yards at a time
You spawn again as soon as you are killed in a totally random points in the map, sometimes right behind the git who just killed you ! you can setup your best weapon selection for pistol and main weapon and eveytime you re-spawn you have the same guns again. When the bomb is planted CT's can then spawn into the bomb zone (there are a couple of spawn points in each site) and it turns into a frag fest. Woz won't like it as you need the reflex's of a ninja cat on speed and eyes in the back of your head.
It's funny at the start of the round as sometimes you spawn right opposite the enemy and it turns into a wild west draw when the timer reaches 0. Don't expect to be typing to each other though as you will not get the chance, great stuff !

Got to say its not to my personal taste but its a damn good way to kill an hour or two whilst sharpening your reflexes. Does tend to build paranoia though as your always having to check behind you

Since last nights update - to play pretty much any mod out there, you need to set:
cl_restrict_server_commands 0
on your client. otherwise you don't get custom menus etc.
