Not trying to make excuses but that ref was a complete and utter wanker. He started off crap and i got that feeling that he was going to be wank. What a terrible way to go out cheated out on penalties.

Gutted always the bloody same with england

Sven must go he can't seem to drop his fav players beckham had been a big pile of crap for the whole tournament and scholes on the left? and theres no way we can try and play how we did for 85 minutes it didn't work against france and it didn't work here. What is the point of playing a long ball to 2 short strikers?

And all i have to say to that ref/beckham/and phil neville (if he ever gets an england cap again i think i will scream what was the tackle on rui costa? he manged to bugger it up in 2000 and he does it here again) is

Well, in the cold reality of the next morning. I have to say that I feel gutted, like last weeks fish

What happened with the ref was as bad as what happened to Spain in WC2002. The host nation went through, due to some dodgy ref decisions. A dissallowed goal that was perfectly legal, and then it went to penalties.
Unfortunatly there is nothing much to be done about it. They cannot reverse the outcome of the game, and the ref made a mistake, just like most people do in their jobs..........

We should have sealed it with the 1st goal, instead we decided to play a really crap midfield, Gerrard, Scoles, Becks, Lampard were CRAP, Becks especially, he is the reason they equalised

Rooney breaking his foot didnt help the matter, the moral went down hill.

Cant blame Vassell for the pen though, at least he got it on target.

I dont think James is to blame either, the portugal players are great penalty kick takers, whereas we are not, both lampard and owen jsut smacked it down the middle.

All in all, it was the worst performance ive seen from england yet, but saying that the ref was biasd and CRAP.

Im sooo pissed off

Anyway im off to sulk..............

stop crying for a change of manager everytime england loses - thats the reason we were shit for so many years.

Svens done a good job and has a good team, sure beckham and gerrard were out of form and james is terrible - but I truely believe this is the best england side (bar james) on paper we have had for years.

If owen hadnt have scored last night, you would be saying the same bullshit about him too - the best english striker of my generation, had a good competition I think, being the centerpin of most of our goals.

We lost the game through being denied the right to tackle from about the 30th minute by the ref. Im sorry, im a very optimisitic england fan and I reckon the italians may have a point.

Bear in mind every team has a ropey game on the route to the final .... and this was ours - shame about the 12th player.

hate cole with a passion, but yes he had the best game I've seen him play in an england shirt I reckon. We didn't deserve to win, after we played poorly for the entire match, but we were still robbed. Not just for the dodgy disallowed goal, but for the whole match ref was totally dodgy. Peroxide bearded W******, obviously one of the 'I am the ref' and I will be a star type. Gutted to lose on pen's again. thought hargreaves had a shocker when he came on, we got in a few good positions late on, and he just paniced and hoofed the ball up to a rapidly tiring owen, who had a good game.

As for Terry being a watse of space WTF!!!!!! best young central defender in the country... potential rock of england dfence for next 7/8 years, waste of space... RAHHHHH.. as for saying he was at fault for goal. was never a foul, but even if it was construed as such, he merely went for the ball, wasn;t any intent eyes were on the ball the whole time. not like shearer and his dodgy elbows last time.

And it ruined going to see orbital, missed the support band who I wanted to see coz I was sitting outside in the car listening to the pens. Orbital were blinding, but then we had to drive back home through Little Portugal - stockwell, and had to turn round and go a different way coz all the portugese out celebrating had blocked the road.
