ISSUED : 07 AUGUST : 10:00
Areas Worst Affected : Ireland, Midlands, Northern England, Eastern England, Southern Scotland, Southeast England.
Decaying remants of ex-Hurricane Alex will affect much of the UK from Sunday afternoon bringing heavy sporadic rainfall to the areas described above.
Metcheck are expecting the heaviest of the rainfall to occur as an occluded front reaches Eastern areas during Monday and slows down markedly.
Cumulative rainfall amounts in these areas could be expectional leading to flooding.
If you have a journey planned for the period in the regions mentioned, you are advised you stay informed of the latest forecasts.
Please follow all local TV & Radio warnings for more information

Good! I cant live without a good hose/water fight in the summer
But hiding in a bush with 2 super soakers shooting passing cars is great.
(Childish - Yes i know but its the best thing since sliced bread

Southern ripple
Added [Sunday August 08 2004 : 12:51:20 PM]
Remnants of Hurricane Alex are now pushing in from the West but it's a ripple effect on the front which will cause the heaviest of the rain to run up the front later this evening.
We're expecting to see the band start to break up in the next hour or two, but later this afternoon the front will burst back into life as it is forced over higher ground in Wales, Cumbria and the Southwest.
The main rain band is not expected to reach the East until tomorrow, by which time it'll be in full 'washout' mode :-)
So you people in the West enjoy. Looks like I'm going to be waiting until tomorrow

Only 32.9c in my Minilab at moment....
