I found a copy on my pc one day last week. Im not sure wether to buy it or not yet, just seems like at the minute its always the same. Open a door, jump, shoot some stuff, find a door, watch a video, repeat.. Not given it much chance yet, but the multiplayer bits do look and play well on a lan.

Im buying it for sure, I think its the best game for years, despite its old school simplicity.

I found it on my PC as well!
I have to agree it's very much like most other scary shoot-em-ups. I did think at first the it was running like a dog but I was kindly sent a driver update and patch (thanks G@v) It looks great but once you've seen one UPC lab you've seen them all. It is getting a little harder as I progress so before I sound to negative I have to say that it's a grower...like Half Life was. I hope it has a better ending.

Try putting ATI into google and pick the first result :p

It fixed my CoH problems as well last night and boosted performance by 100% if not more

It appeared on my machine too....

Great game that's managed to make me jump out of my skin a couple of times.

But its still not Doom..... Can't quiet put my finger on it but its almost as though they have made a fantastic looking game and labelled it Doom.. I don't recall the original doom being based on Mars ?

Love the 'torch or gun' idea though

aye it was + No spoilers here but ....

there is a point in the game where everything changes and it becomes near enough exactly like the old Doom and drops a lot of the atmospheric type play.

Many have levelled this as a critiscm, but I really think its a special game.

contary to what most belive, doom has always been set on mars, or its two moons, always, and the same problem keeps hapening (youd think they would learn wouldnt you) but nobody has ever read the half a page of text that gives you the story for the them 9why bother, thier deamons to frag)
