Are there any plans for a Source version of DVF's de_tain? That map kicked ass.

I think it would be great.
Unfortunatly sput barely has time to post here, nevermind making maps.
Still if one of enterprising map makers here wanted to give it the conversion job, I'm sure he'd be happy :)

Same here... don't even have time to finish me own maps sadly... hardly have the time to play CS at the moment... maybe one day (if I get sacked again and have some spare time)

Winter and I (me and Wint), were talking about this the other day - I really do miss that map, it was tops - far better than some of the original maps that are being released for sauce at the moment.

personally i prefered Tain2 as Tain 1 was a bit too CT orientated.... but cant wait for ANY new maps atm! - get rid of compound!

Cheers guys

I'm really hoping to get HL2 sometime soon, which means playing CS2 on our server....

I don't know if I'll have time to be perfectly honest, but I really would like to give it a go, although it'd be a shame to only convert it without a certain amount of fixing and adding. I dunno how different the CS2 mechanics and capacities are but one thing I'd like to do (and it was almost possible with CS1) is to have Tain 1 and 2 together, whereby you play one then on to the next if the bomb is detonated, or replay the first again if not, etc....

Thats a cool idea. I havent heard of anyone else doing that kind of thing. It would add a whole new dimension to CS.

Colony - I had a look at your Metal Pigeon site last night, some very good stuff on there :) Caused me to order the Alter Bridge album and decide to dig out Chris Cornell's Euphoria Morning to give it a second chance :D (As well as to hate the world for still not delivering my Lullabies to Paralyze pre-order...)

Weird, I dug that out again the other day too :)

Quite like a couple of tracks, although the dodgy french version of "Can't Change Me" still makes me chuckle.

I think that's the right track name, I'm sure someone will correct me if not.

That song always goes on my romance mixes!

The site is due for a relaunch soon so watch this space! It's going to get much MUCH better...

I love you guys...

Chris Cornell is a genius... If I had a minge I'd be stalking him... cough... err...

Oh and the Alter Bridge record is a dirty secret of mine... very good album but can't let anyone know I have it...

the new queens records... pah... good record by anyone elses standards by qotsa's standards it's a poor desert sessions.

Off to read Metal Pigeon to see what the deal is... oh and colony... you have a record player at Metal Pigeon? Might send some ATM review fodder your way if you're interested

I'm not at home at the moment so I haven't done my Euphoria Morning rediscovery yet

Alter Bridge hasn't arrived yet but I'm expecting to like it (a bit), as I , umm, kind of, umm, liked a little bit of Creed, a little bit. The instrumental section anyway.

I really love the new QOTSA album! It really does sound like Desert Sessions 11+12 (it was nice to hear Dead In Love!) but hey that's what QOTSA were about - somewhere between Kyuss and Homme's Desert Sessions, with a revolving door lineup. It's a good kick in the balls for all the No One Knows fans who were expecting Songs For The Deaf II - as Josh says on the spoof interview on the bonus DVD, he thought he'd do what noone expected by making it "boring" ;)

Everyone Knows You're Insane is pretty funny :D The guest appearances of Shirley Manson etc were a bit of a disappointment though! Great album, although I'll still listen to QOTSA and R most :p

QOTSA Album isn't amazing I hear.

But then again I hear that TBH Emo/Metal isn't Emo. >_>

Oh btw Badgers - Me and a few mates can get into the VIP area at Leeds Fest. :D

It's funny that the most action this forum has seen in six months has been caused by a derailure into a music discussion :)

Don't get me started on this 'emo' trend. Everyone is obsessed with it (well, not everyone)!

EMO MUST DIE!

Sorry...

And yeah... I read that Josh and Queens were trying to go back to the roots of the first qotsa album... and you can kinda hear it in there... but nah... bit of a let down.

Preferred the last desert sessions to this tbh

I was unsure whether I was going to buy it now or wait until it is really cheap but now Mr Badgers you've made my mind up, I'll wait. :)
