Hey hey.
Been a long time since ive been in these forums (keep meaning to pop by) or on the server ,Oh and i now go by Evangelion, but ive noticed in recent times that the server is inhabited mostly by players of the bot variety and not many dvfers.

Have you all packed up and moved on, various new games stolen your hearts? ect ect.

I used to greatly enjoy a good game on the server, was merley wondering if there is an optimum time to be playing to catch any of you lot?

At the minute there are only a few of us who still regularly play, im afraid you can blame the mass vanishing on World Of Warcraft (WoW)

I'll second that

A few of DVF still play regularly WOZ, KillJoy, Rascal, Alex, Tax (and I think I've seen G@v reacently, all be it playing on a geforce MX) but most are WOW's bitch now

There are a lot of regulars though why not give us a go

Myself, Sigdu, If in doubt chicken out, Baran Samedi, and a lot more are normally on after 7:30 ish. Download the "Crocs" tool from the CRO site to see who's on the server from your desktop.

To be honest, CS is an old workhorse that no amount of new graphics can gloss over. I think I have logged into the server once in about 3 months now and that makes me sad.

I think thats harsh, I think CS:S Is fresh and exciting.

Shame my graphics blew up :/ Can't justify buying a replacement till I come back from Canada.

I agree, i have been playing MOST nights now for like 6 years!! and never has it lost its appeal...

i may be playing less tho over the next few weeks as GTA: SA just arrived on my doorstep this morning

Ah, so WoW has stolen them, tis a pity as i quite like rpg's but that just hasnt appealed to me.

Lol......perhaps i should have put the [CRO] tag before my name rawk will be happy that his tool has been so widley embraced though.

so 7:30ish and onwards, thats good, baron plays on our server quite often, and i havent seen chicken in a while and killjoy is always worth shooting :P

Don't be put off by the bots - they are there to attract people, and generally they work.

The server does get pretty busy many nights - last night it was completely full. However, as mentioned above, there are only 5 or 6 regular DVF anymore.

personally i'd love to play but my pc's too old now

i've attempted to buy 2 new pc's and both packed up before i'd got going on them. Now i'm saving for a house so until thats sorted out i don't know if i can afford a new pc.

gutted about the whole situation tbh.

Yup, I'm on almost every night with Woz, v1$ual and lots of others - though I too won't be around too much in 2 weeks - because Battlefield 2 comes out, and I suspect I'll be playing that all the time instead...

Also Badgers is in the process of moving house so is without the t'internet, he'll no doubt be back playing when his missus is on nights and he has the internet back.

im on aswell now i'm back at my parents for a month or so, i thought i had replaced CS:S with pro evo 4 and street fighter 3, but in the end, its worse than the drugs and i'm hooked again
