Nintendo DS Friends Codes

Post by Woz »

And it's probably a good idea to list the wireless enabled games you have.

0730-7544-8513

MarioKart DS - 060190 450459

Animal Crossing -
Woz
Tinton
0730-7544-8513

edit - are these friends code different for each game or linked the the DS itself? That's very odd - just got a different code off AC.

I'm not impressed with Animal Crossing so far, maybe it's an aquired taste. I was the same with that other one, erm.... wassit..... Harvest Moon.

I don't have access to wireless though, unless I go and stand outside some flats behind my house - but it's far too cold for any of that.

Anyone likely to be online for a session of Mario Kart in say, 30 minutes time?

I almost bought a DS today but then thought I wouldnt play it - I believe you need a cable to connect your DS to the internet in order to play online.

Or you need a bluetooth card in your pc?

Or something.

DS supports wireless networking. I'm not sure if it's G or B that they use, but it works from pretty much any standard wireless router.
Nintendo have also made a deal with The Cloud and BT so that you can use the DS at any of their wireless access points for free. I think there's about 7500 of these in the UK. They have similar deals worldwide - in the US you can use them in MacDonald's for instance.

I can play mine anywhere in my house, and so can my kids. The way it works is so simple and slick that my kids can also use it, and there's no fear of abuse, because it doesn't allow communication between players in the same way that Xbox Live does.

I'll open my gates tomorrow and you can come over and pick some fruit - I've got every variety growing except for coconut, which I've only just got.
I'm looking up how to grow coconut most effectively, because this is the only one I've ever seen - it washed up on my beach.

Edit - damn...while searching for info on the coconut, I've discovered that there is also a Pear available. I' don't have that. I have Peach, Cherry, Orange and Apple.

I have pears.

EDIT: Not at the moment though as I picked them all yesterday to try and pay off my mortgage. :(

I found someone else's island with LOADS of pears on it, so I've now got a chest full in my house!
Planted some, so should have some pear trees in 3 days.
The Coconut palm seems to be growing ok too!

Nope - Benjamin is the god - I've just been to his island and you can barely move for fruit trees. His shop has a hairdresser in it, and his house has an extension and two stories.

I have my suspicions that he's been clocking the game forward though, because he had no snow on his map at all...

this clocking thing will sting him in the arse, I've seen a few posts of people saying to do it.

I did it for the new year, just so I could see the celebrations, but mr resetti wasn't very happy when I set my clock wrong afterwards.

I had a feeling I would have to go online to get the best from this game, why are there so few bloody access points in Toronto :(

I think Macdonalds have an agreement with Nintendo to supply free wireless for the DS. Could be worth a try so long as you don't give the bastards any money.

Not in Canada, the government won't allow it apparantly. Hot spots for NDS are only by a very few business network providers :/

There are 2 in downtown Toronto, which I think says it all.
