Recommend me a firewall?

What free firewall would you recommend me?

yup thats a sure fire thing.

If you want a plug me in and make me feel better thing, then ZoneAlarm, Tiny (can be a bit complex) and the ilk are worth it.

If you want to go proper hard and set up everything manually then I think the best choice on windows systems (wait for the laugh) is the Microsoft Firewall - just dont give blanket access, find the ports you need for each app and open them on an app by app basis. ..... Either that or Tiny Personal Firewall - both free.

Which version are you using/recommending btw? I'm currently using a limited trial now but this something I'll need to torrent?

I'm pretty sure theres a free version hidden away somewhere - I remember having the same problem when building some pc's the other week (I use ISA Server at home).

FYI - the free version is just missing NAT rules and ICS compatibility, but nowadays no-one uses that stuff anyway, or few at least - with all these cheap routers / wifi about,.
