Off you go then, I guess it's about time you did some housework around the forums, especially now I'm not here so much :p

The last five months of my life have been fairly hectic. I've changed jobs and now work for a smallish company who fix HP laser printers / inkjet plotters and desktop PCs, photo printing kiosks (PCs, dye-sub printers) and a variety of other things. I therefore spend most of the day idling in London traffic driving between customer sites and wondering whether indeed I did quit Jessops considering how much time I spend in their branches... Oh - and I drive a company van and it's white :chow: Though sadly I racked up 6 £50 parking fines in the first 4 months which I've had to pay for. So before you count in my excessive credit card debt I'm not doing too well on the money front. But I haven't had a parking ticket since early January and I'm sorting the rest out so it's all on the up :) Though my advice to anyone who needs to drive and park in London has to be: Find a car park. Do not park on-the-street unless you absolutely must. If you do - set your watch by the parking meter time. In Islington and Camden you'll get a ticket for being 3 minutes over the allocated time. Which is reasonable until you realise the time clocks on some parking ticket machines are inaccurate by that margin and occaisionally more!

Otherwise I and the girlfriend have been looking to move in together. Sadly our recently started savings are insufficient to move out now (even though we've seen a flat we really like) so we've resolved to save for a year and move out then :) Though with the blasted Olympics coming to various future arenas in East London I doubt we'll be able to afford anything local to where we live now :(

Which I've unnaccountably decided I MUST own.
I blame the DVD Forums - there was a thread on there about them.

Left my job 9 months ago to form a company with my former boss and 3 other colleagues. I've been living off my savings that I was going to spend on a year long round the world trip - but decided to risk it with a wunch of bankers instead (actually they're quite a nice bunch of guys once you get past the megalomania  ). I'll probably get to do some travelling anyway - but most likely to exotic Poland, Russia and Ukraine rather than some the sunny shores of the Far East as originally planned.

The London 2012 Olympics venue will be in walking distance of my flat so I'm looking forward to the improvement in the area. Only downside is that I'll have to put up with Crossrail sinking a couple of new sewer shafts outside my back window for the next couple of years.

Gaming wise, I haven't played anything online for months - I haven't even played the "new" Assualt map on CS:S yet. Unfortunately I'm unlikely to be playing anything regularly for the next 18 months at least. I don't even want to consider playing WoW considering the addictive nature it appears to have had on some DVF'ers  - hell I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about with your MCs and ZGs - probably best I keep it that way for now.

I do pop my head into the forums fairly regularly though as it's usually a source of interesting news and links. All the best, Spook...
