Recommendations for Wii games?

Recommendations for Wii games?

Hi all,

The other half is being given a Wii for her birthday and thus I was wondering whether anyone could recommend a game or two worth buying for it? The console should be coming with Wii Sports, I've bought an additional controller with Wii Play and bought her Super Monkey Ball. I'd prefer two-player games as she's rather good and I'll never get a go unless I play at the same time :thumbs: But any recommendation is welcome :)

I enjoyed Rayman Raving Rabbids and I've had a good go on Excite Truck which was a lot of fun but am unsure of what the multiplayer was like for that one.

If you like RPGs and have played earlier incarnations I can't recommend Zelda highly enough.

It's got fantastic game play, superb use of the remote and the story is actually very engrossing.

For me, I'll rank my faves so far

1. Zelda
2. Rayman (don't be put off by the franchise, this is excellent)
3. Gamecube games! E.G paper mario, batallion wars, mario sunshine.
4. Godfather (prob not GF material)
5. Dragon Ball Z (no Im not into Anime, but my god what a fighter and very original, believe it or not).

That's unfortunately about it for PAL releases, in my opinion.

I picked up a Wii the other week... not to bad seeing as it's the first Nintendo I have owned.

Sport and Play seem to be the best out of what I have so far. Zelda is OK, but I am a little fed up of the cut scenes - but not played any of the previous ones before so it's all new to me.

Redsteel is OK, prehaps a little too easy.
SMB is shat - think I will trade that for something else.
Heatseeker is OK, again, a little too easy to play.

Any other recommendations?

I played Raving Rabbids round a mate's house the other night and it was a great laugh.
I'm also itching to get my hands on Wing Island - desperately hoping it's going to be Pilot Wings with the Wii remote!
