Thought it was about time we had another post in this forum
So here's a very rough preview of my next map, as_officestorm2. I got very very bored yesterday and decided to start another map, despite agreeing with myself not to bother any more as it's not really worth it
So cs_spent is abandoned, with chunks combined with the old ideas of as_officestorm into.... as_officestorm2
I'm hoping to have it finished really soon (before my next uni term starts ), which going on what I've done in the last day and a bit might actually happen

Well as always I hope it'll be a better map than the ones before it, but considering people play the first one I made more than any other I dunno what I'm doing wrong
The goal is gonna be the same as as_officestorm, and it's hopefully going to have the same kind of feel, but might end up being a tiny bit bigger Or maybe not... Hmm.

Sput, any chance you could make the dividing things in the office shootable/breakable? Would make some good hidyhole type place for people. Also little cupboards to hide in are great

Heh alright But as before, the CTs have to activate a computer and get the little guy to the central elevator. Both teams start in the floor above, looking out over each other, and have to scamper downwards, across the main floor and to the computer, through their respective wings of the map (with some ducting to confuse people).
is there a way to make the V.I.P able to pick up weapons, I guess this would ruin the whole point of AS maps, but I find it stupid, that he would wander around on his lonesome, when his mates are dead with just a pistol when theres a handy AK on the floor just asking to be picked up. Not for him to buy stuff at the beginning of the round... and if he's in the helicopter no one buying stuff but if theres a gun lying around .. I'd imagine it's not possible but just wanted to whine about the stupidity of the V.I.P really

this always bugged me 2 why would the VIP NOT pick up a gun.....
i mean the model even has the animations in for it, and the onyl time ive ever seen the anims used is on Wc3 when u buy a gun and a ankh of regen, then u die and next round ur VIP...

They could allow a VIP to ONLY pick up a T weapon dropped by a killed T on the current round, that'd work okay.
oh yeah, never thought of that. what about putting a time limit on when the V.I.P could pick a gun up.. say after a minute and a half I know he could just wait around till time ran out and then pick up the dropped ct gun, but is this possible? would make it slightly more realistic as if his bodyguards got killed he'd be more inclined to pick up a shooter
The guy can win the round for his entire team just by getting to a certain point and has masses of free armour, so to balance that he has a very limited offensive potential - makes sense to me
The real AS question is why the Ts' arsenel is so restricted. But still, it's my favourite mode of play Although it's much better when your team has to activate a computer first

Although I'm on a little holiday back home at the mo so won't be able to do any mapperisificating till Tuesday, and I also have a fair amount of revision to do for an exam, but I'm still sure I'll have it finished in the next couple of weeks

Yeah, 24 shots is just stoopid, this would be ok if he could at least re-arm himself from dropped ct-pistols, keep max bullet limit to 24 but let there be a way of rearming....

you can rearm if you see a pistol on the floor but if a player dies with a primary weapon they only drop that. You can rearm any weapon by dropping your current weapon, picking up another (that takes the same bullets) and picking up your old one again. But if they fix this, there will be lots of other things that people will expect them to fix - like being able to pick up defuse kits or pistols out of dead bodies, better for them to leave it than get the whole cs community badgering for more modifications
