The Football thread

Post by Mackey »

Football season is upon us again and I for one am excited as I have my first season ticket for forest and our first home game is tomorrow

So who do you support guys and how do you think you team will do this year? Who’s going to win the prem? Who’s going to surprise us this year (team or players)

I think Forest have a great chance to go up but then I am always optimistic. I have to say (as much as pains me) arsenal for the prem this year and team to surprise a few along the way will be Middlesbrough.

Oh and you people that don't like football can bugger off and hug some trees or do whatever you strange people do ;)

Aston Villa for me! I think they'll just hang around the bottom half of the Premier League.

I think Rooney might hit the headlines a few times but then he'll just be forgotten.

Yeh i'd say palace are going down!

Have to say arsenal looked very good today without ever really needing to go into top gear but they were playing what tbh was a poor everton side. As for man utd chelsea man u looked like they are really missing some the players they are missing and when is fergie going to give up on forlan? what a waste of money he has been. I know one man u fan who keeps saying he will come good but i think theres more chance of thaed becoming good at cs before folan comes good.

Owen signing for real i am sure theres something more going on there behind the scenes then we know about.

Hopefully middlesbrough can beat arsenal next weekend to save forests unbeaten run of 42 games in the top flight.

And for anyone that cares forest have now played 3 drawn 3 :?

Im the only person in my family who supports villa.

My mum and her scouser side of the family support Liverpool and my dad and his Scottish side of the family support Rangers.

A very odd combinaton.

Oh and in my friends family (who are all blue noses) i get a constant barrage of abuse, due to my fave footy team. So i am now dubbed the 'Villa scum'.

Come on, wheres your support for your locals :p

http://www.tonykempster.btinternet.co.uk/gridsindex.htm <--Every single non-league fixture and table and results with crowd comparisons for both non-league and Prem/Div 1-3. This guy updates all of it by what looks like hand. He is a god.

And I've been looking in the newspapers all weekend for the Isthmian Div 1 results for Banstead Athletic just to find they haven't played a single game yet.

EDIT - They have but not appearing on the results. 3-2 win.
