Another one for you G@v - The Hitch-Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, almost finished. However pre-release buzz has not been kind (www.aintitcool.com).

Actually not sure whether you'd class it as a remake, because it was never actually a film, just a TV & radio series, & book.

Actually, you'd be wrong there.
Star Wars is rubbish.
You have rose tinted spectacles.
Get over it.

dont mention the name of that bloody naboo character.

Seriously though, if the scripts I've read for Ep 3 are to be believed, it looks like on hell of an episode.

Personally I dont like

Episode 1 (insert simon pegg style flinch)
Episode 4 A new hope.

They are both steaming piles of steamness.

Episode 2 and the empire strikes back though, oh yeaaaaah.

I'm extremely strange because non of the films I'm looking forward to this year are in the list. I honestly think that 95% of what comes out of hollywood is just pure shite.

My top 4 most anticipated are

1. Tony Takitani - this looks like the film of the decade to me - and I'm not one for hype.
2. Millions
3. Kung Fu Hustle
4. The Upside of Anger

I want to see house of flying daggers too - but thats not new this year.

saw Meet the Fockers last night and yeah it was really surprisingly good! I thought Meet the Parents was pretty lame, watered down something about Mary style but the Fockers is genuinely amusing the whole way through, some laugh out loud moments and De Niro was quite good in this one

I've got it....not watched it yet - seen the beginning and it looks very good. Definitely show's signs of Hero, which is also excellent.

If you've not seen it and you're into non-hollywood stuff, OldBoy is brilliant. Not for the squeamish though.

I actually thought that it wasnt as funny as the first one, a few moments had me in bits though, and yes De Nero is superb, once again!

"INTERESTING FACT ALERT"
Did you know they was alloud to produce the movie /until/unless they found a real life family with the "Focker" surname. LMAO lucky they did eh

lend us it then :)

Oldboy was very good indeed but on second and third watches it seems like its just a little too dark (In colours on screen if you know what I mean) - It's a film that can make you squint permanently, if watched too much.

I liked the really modern direction in it though - really good.

/looks smugly at screen.

You just need the right environment to watch it in, that's all :

I actually heard that was the problem - the drama side of it is non-existent. I like dialogue - only problem I have is fights on strings but we've discussed that before ;)

just off to see Assault on Precinct 13 in a couple of hours

after you have seen it, watch the original and realise how it is a cardinal sin to even mention "AOP13" without having the excellent Run DMC theme.
