Great start of the week

So I decided to format my HD's again and reinstall windows.

As the nice man I am I made a backup of all the important files, 15 gb of mp3's, my pictured, my trackday video's, mackey's goat porn....

When it was time to choose the HD to install XP on, I chose the wrong one.... I just formated all my backup files.....AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

To make it worse I realised my mistake to late so I deleted the mbr of the original HD so now I've lost all my data (except the work files on my laptop (thank god for that).

I knew I should not have started working on my computer today since the day started with me bumping into walls, hitting door (without any alcohol), dropping my coffee over the floor etc. etc....

My guess is that this will be a lousy week for me.....

The only positive about this is that in 2 weeks I'm going on holiday to the USA, finaly going to see a real Hooters bar :clap: :clap: :clap:

might be a long shot but use a program called get data back it comes in 2 flavors NTFS and fat giv it a whizz and see

I would definately try a program to try and get bac the deleted stuff. Had a similar problem a few weeks ago and it rescued me 160 gig of mp3 and video files.

Don't do anything to that drive until you've had a look at the programs that can recover this stuff.
I believe there is more than one copy of the MBR stored, and there a progs out there that can recover it.

Downloaded getdataback and it recovered most of the files.... Man I owe you a case of Heineken!!!
