I see where you've gone wrong - I downloaded it from the EA link on that page, NOT the gamespot one. They seem to be pushing the Gamespot one as the primary, but there is a direct EA link on that page too.

Mine seem to be working, but the stuttering since the full release means that I'm having real trouble getting enough points to even release one gun.

Could someone just veryfiy they an connect to our server using cs.dvf.org.uk? I cant get on now, it says there is a problem, same with the ea server, although I can connect to other random servers.

Hi Jamie, was able to do a direct IP connection using cs.dvf.org.uk as the address.

EA have held their hands up about the patch and admitted they screwed up.There is a memory leak with the patch and they are telling everyone to uninstall BF2 and reinstall it patch free.

The same for servers, roll them all back until the patch is fixed. We have a BF2 server running at MoX and have had to do this, we found thta before we did nobody was playing because they no longer had a compatible game as they had all rolled back due to the crap patch issues.

Seriously guys, in the interests of making the game work a bit better, you have to dump the patch.

TBH I didn't bother rolling back as I wasn't having any problems with it...until last night. It crashed to the descktop just after I got promoted. I feared the worst, that I had lost all the medals and the promotion I had gained in that session, but all was ok
